Darth Vader Helmet - DIY
Default scale to fit up to 24.5 inch circumference head!
For a proper Revenge of the Sith Vader you'll want to use flat lenses. Use the lens cutout template in conjunction with the faceplate ridge system to hold the lenses in place easily!
Some additional materials will be necessary to complete the helmet. You'll need 3/4" width elastic bands to connect the face and neck together - use the modeled ridges as guides! You'll also need two 1.25" diameter magnets to connect the dome to the top of the head. The mesh behind the top respirator and ventilator is also included in PLA, but should probably be some kind of black fabric for total accuracy.
All the vents on the main faceplate are numbered. These are often removed in favor of actual vents and fans though!
Important!
——
Raw Pla print. Will need post processing work.
It’s a kit, and it comes in pieces.
No visor included.
——
Add a jar of our filler paint for 10.00!
The paint add-on for $10, is a filler paint to help you smooth the print and finish it. (Check the youtube links)
The paint add on for $10 IS NOT colored paint for you to finish painting the model.
The paint add-on for $10 IS NOT for a finished painted model. (I can’t finish this and paint it for you for $10. 🙂)

Made from PLA Filament, plastic made from corn-starch or sugar cane. It is 100% biodegradable, and non-toxic. 3D printed products made with PLA are durable, strong, and make useful items that hold up to real life.
I’ve tried to remove all the printing supports, but it’s possible I missed one.
This is not a completed model. It’s a model kit and comes in pieces.
There are no instructions, but the pieces will only fit together one way, and it’s pretty intuitive. Just be careful you don’t glue it together in the wrong order and find you’re unable to fit the last piece in. Plan it out ahead of time.
PLA models are not the same as resin models. PLA can look just as well on the finished product though. But to achieve the best results requires sanding, crack filling, and a great paint job.
Modelling:
The perfectionist: they will clip, file, and sand every piece. Then glue each piece together filling any gaps with gap fill. Then prime and paint and varnish.
The semi perfectionist: they will file and sand most pieces. Then glue and fill the large gaps. Then prime and paint and varnish.
The painter: they will glue the model together, and fill the large gaps. Then prime and paint and varnish.
